So many studies, so little time... That's why I filter and share only the best...

As usual, I am sharing some great information on how to prevent and sometimes even reverse major health issues. Almost every week I share information on D3 and Omega 3's, as well as many phytonutrients. It may seem repetitive but that's because I am trying to get your attention with the little time many of you have to follow this stuff. It's not easy.

Scan the studies and articles quickly and just look for anything that captures your attention. Then click the link and read more. Or perhaps I have highlighted something that might be helpful for someone you know or love, then pass it along to them. That's why I blog... To bring you information that will not filter down to a medical approach for years to come, and perhaps never, in the case of nutraceuticals.

There is no purpose in my mind to do all this if I don't lead you to practical application of this information in your daily life.

The reason I recommend the multi CardioLift so much is that it has therapeutic amounts of the nutrients like the ones mentioned this week. I almost never do a program for a client that doesn't include Omega 3 Fatty Acids as well. Just these 2 products can greatly benefit everyone who doesn't already take them. Probiotics are mentioned this week, as well as their importance in overall health and their ability to strengthen your immune system.
Also, if you are worried about cholesterol why not try AFA, a unigue blue-green algae that grows in Klamath Lake here in Oregon? It has side benefits instead of possible side effects.

Enjoy this weeks picks... and remember...

It's never too late to become younger.

Probiotics are Essential in Preventing Disease and Maintaining Health...
(NaturalNews) The August, 2009 issue of the journal Pediatrics contains a study analyzing and confirming the positive effects of probiotics in maintaining immunity and preventing disease, particularly in children who experienced a significant decrease in cold and influenza incidences following sustained probiotic supplementation. The study also confirmed that probiotic supplementation decreased the length and severity of illness symptoms in those that did get sick, vindicating what has been known in the natural health community for years concerning probiotics.

Coronary Artery Calcification Linked to Vitamin D Deficiency...
Vitamin D deficiency is associated with an increased risk of new-onset coronary artery calcification (CAC), a finding that may help to explain why cardiovascular events and death are more likely in individuals with low vitamin D levels, researchers reported.
Researchers led by Ian H. de Boer, MD, of the University of Washington in Seattle studied 1,370 individuals, of whom 394 had CKD and 976 did not. At baseline, CAC was present in 723 subjects (53%).

Blue-Green Algae Has Dual Cholesterol Lowering Abilities...
Researchers say they have confirmed, for the first time, that blue-green algae taken as a nutritional supplement can significantly lower cholesterol in animals. Furthermore, the algae works in two ways to reduce cholesterol according to the scientists, who were speaking today at a national meeting of the American Chemical Society, the world's largest scientific society. The alga Aphanizomenon flos-aquae (AFA) is a novel dietary supplement already available on the market. AFA contains significant amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), according to Christian Drapeau of Cell Tech in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He says that the algae's PUFAs seem to be exceptionally well absorbed by animals. Over the past decade, other research has suggested that PUFAs reduce blood cholesterol and that PUFA deficiency is linked with cardiovascular disease, chronic fatigue syndrome, certain forms of cancer, attention deficit disorder, and more.

Mounting Evidence Of Fish Oil's Heart Health Benefits...
There is mounting evidence that omega-3 fatty acids from fish or fish oil supplements not only help prevent cardiovascular diseases in healthy individuals, but also reduce the incidence of cardiac events and mortality in patients with existing heart disease. A new study, published in the August 11, 2009, issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, extensively reviews data from a broad range of studies in tens of thousands of patients and sets forth suggested daily targets for omega-3 consumption.

Resveratrol - The Miracle Nutrient for Cancer, Cholesterol and Longevity...
(NaturalNews) You've all heard the good news about resveratrol, commonly known as the "red wine nutrient." There's more to resveratrol than red wine, though, and it's helpful for far more than just preventing heart disease. It's also phenomenal for maintaining a healthy cholesterol balance and even supporting increased longevity.

Vitamin D Deficiency Reveals an Instant Health Care Reform Solution...

What's in vitamin D,
"It's not useful unless we can sell it."- by the Health Ranger...
It's official: Vitamin D deficiency is so widespread in U.S. children that it poses a huge threat to the future health of an entire generation. A new study published in the journal Pediatrics paints a disturbing picture of vitamin D deficiency across the population of children aged 1 through 21. Three-fourths of young African American children, for example, are deficient in vitamin D. Much the same pattern holds true for Mexican American children. Even white kids, with their fairer skin and greater vitamin D production, hit the charts with 50% - 60% deficiency, depending on the age group.

Experts Issue Powerful Tanning Bed Warning...
Paige Wood started going to tanning salons when she was 18 years old. Now at 27, she's fighting melanoma, a deadly form of skin cancer. "It's definitely been an ongoing battle for me with just remaining optimistic," Wood said. In the journal Lancet Oncology, an international panel of cancer experts upgrade the warning on tanning beds from "probably to "definitely" able to cause cancer. "There have been a number of studies showing an increased risk in melanoma and it has been particularly in people who start using tanning beds before the age of 35," said Dr. Jennifer Stein, a Dermatologist at NYU Langone Medical Center.

Rates Of Severe Childhood Obesity Have Tripled...
Rates of severe childhood obesity have tripled in the last 25 years, putting many children at risk for diabetes and heart disease, according to a report in Academic Pediatrics by an obesity expert at Brenner Children's Hospital, part of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. "Children are not only becoming obese, but becoming severely obese, which impacts their overall health," said Joseph Skelton, M.D., lead author and director of the Brenner FIT (Families in Training) Program. "These findings reinforce the fact that medically-based programs to treat obesity are needed throughout the United States and insurance companies should be encouraged to cover this care."

Vitamin D Prevents Cancer: Is It True? - VIDEO
In a new study, researchers at the UCSD School of Medicine and Moores Cancer Center used a complex computer prediction model to determine that intake of vitamin D3 and calcium would prevent 58,000 new cases of breast cancer and 49,000 new cases of colorectal cancer annually in the US and Canada. The researchers model also predicted that 75% of deaths from these cancers could be prevented with adequate intake of vitamin D3 and calcium. Join Carole Baggerly with GrassrootsHealth as she discusses this new research.

Eating High Levels Of Fructose Impairs Memory In Rats...
Researchers at Georgia State University have found that diets high in fructose — a type of sugar found in most processed foods and beverages — impaired the spatial memory of adult rats.

Blood Pressure Targets: Aiming Lower Offers No Benefit, Review Finds...
Aiming for lower than standard blood pressure targets offers no known clinical benefit, according to a Cochrane Review. In a systematic review of the evidence, researchers found that using antihypertensive drugs to reduce blood pressure below the 140/90 mm Hg standard was not associated with any reduction in death rates or serious morbidity.

Human Heart Regenerates Cells Automatically: One Percent Each Year...
(NaturalNews) In a groundbreaking new study, researchers from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden have demonstrated that heart cells are able to regenerate themselves, overturning the conventional wisdom that the body cannot replace damaged heart cells.
Researchers immediately hailed the study as providing new hope for prevention and treatment of diseased hearts."I think this will be one of the most important papers in cardiovascular medicine in years," said Dr. Charles Murry, a heart researcher at the University of Washington in Seattle. "It helps settle a longstanding controversy about whether the human heart has any ability to regenerate itself."

Caffeine May Prevent and Help Reverse Alzheimer's Disease...
(NaturalNews) There is probably no more dreaded and feared disease than memory-destroying and life-robbing Alzheimer's. According to the National Institute on Aging (NIA), as many as 2.4 to 4.5 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and, as Baby Boomers age, those numbers are expected to soar. Unfortunately, despite millions spent on research and the development of drugs to delay or help symptoms, the bottom line is nothing works to truly prevent, stop or heal the disease. At least, nothing from Big Pharma. The National Institutes of Health's NIA web site does list some natural strategies -- a nutritious diet, exercise, social engagement, and mentally stimulating pursuits -- which may prevent or delay AD. But now there's new and stunning research that strongly suggests a substance found in nature offers another a way to fight Alzheimer's and maybe even reverse its effects: caffeine.

A Protein Drink in Morning is Complete Meal for a Balanced Start to the Day...
(NaturalNews) Having a protein drink in the morning is probably the best way to create sustainable energy throughout the day. Mid-morning and mid-afternoon hunger pangs and energy dips can disappear altogether. A protein shake in the morning is a filling and complete breakfast which contains protein, fats and carbohydrate, all in one meal.

Be careful where you get your health tips and information from...

I began my day as always, reading my online yahoo newspaper. It is a news feed I totally control, getting news that I am interested in, and none that I am not. Obviously I get lots of health news and this day was no different. I saw this article from HealthDay News entitled "Health Tip: Debunking Diabetes Myths" -- It leads with this line... "If you've just been diagnosed with diabetes, it may be difficult to separate fact from fiction."

BOY CAN I AGREE WITH THAT, AND IT STARTS WITH THIS ARTICLE...

Here was the whole article, really just a few quotes from the American Diabetes Association:

The American Diabetes Association debunks some popular myths about the disease:

You can't "catch" diabetes from someone else.
Dessert isn't off-limits forever for all diabetics. While eating too many sugary foods is a bad idea, you can have an occasional dessert, especially if you exercise and otherwise eat healthy.
Eating too much sugar can't "cause" diabetes. The disease stems from genetic and lifestyle factors.
Carbohydrates and starches (bread, potatoes, pasta) aren't off-limits, but healthy portion sizes are important.
Diabetics aren't more susceptible to colds and other illnesses.
Insulin doesn't cause hardening of the arteries or high blood pressure.
Fruits, while healthy, can't be consumed in huge amounts, since they contain carbohydrates.

Was this written by a 2 year old? This is drivel and contradictory at best. This organization is part of the medical community that wants to control disease with drugs for the rest of your life, rather than showing you how to reverse or cure it. Drug companies want you on their products for life so they can make profits for their stock holders. I know because I am an investor and I read their mission statements... It's all about PROFITS... Restoring your HEALTH is way down the list.

If a patient doesn't want to take responsibility and want to make changes in their diet and would rather be on drugs, I have no problem with that. What I do have a problem with is what advice you get from your doctor. It is malpractice, in my opinion, if a doctor doesn't tell you the cause of your condition and how best to treat it. If then you don't want the HARDER way to deal with it by controlling your lifestyle, then yes, offer whatever, but drugs should be a LAST RESORT APPROACH.

Do you know you have a choice? Type 2 diabetes is not a disease that can only be controlled by drugs and dietary modification. It is caused mostly by dietary decisions and choices, and genetics only plays a small role, predisposing you perhaps, but not stopping you from reversal.

In last weeks HealthBlogger, I highlighted a documentary on how 30 days on a raw food diet cured type 2 diabetes in a group of insulin dependent diabetics. This group only ate "Fresh and Alive Raw Fruits, Vegetables, and Nuts" for 30 days. All of them were off their insulin by the 4TH DAY!
What they took these people off of was really what cured them. They had no candies, sugar, caffeine, meat, dairy, alcohol, refined foods, or fast foods of any kind for 30 days. You can review the basics here: Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days

The truth is that you cannot alter genetics by changing diet for 30 days, so saying this is a genetic disease and that sugar or refined carbs are not responsible, is idiotic. As I have told you before, Epigenetics is the new science that shows that genes, both good and bad, can be turned on or off simply by changing what you breathe, eat, drink, and even think. Foods and drinks especially have a profound effect on which genes are turned on or off. The New Biology- From Victim to Master of Your Health

Please read this study carefully and you'll  see what I mean...

"Researchers from Finland took two groups of people with metabolic syndrome and gave each group a different diet. The diet differed in what type of carbohydrates they consumed for the 12 week study. The rest of their diet was identical. They contained the same calories and the same amount of fat, protein, carbohydrate, and fiber. The first group had wheat, oats, and potatoes as the source of their carbs. The second group ate rye as their source of carbohydrate. Rye has some very special properties. It is slowly absorbed by the body and has phytonutrients that help you lose weight and improve metabolism. After the 12 weeks, the researchers took a fat sample and analyzed it to find out which genes were turned on or off. So what happened? In the wheat, oat, and potato group, 62 genes were activated that increased inflammation, oxidative stress, and the stress response, worsened blood sugar balance, and generally amplified all of the forces in the body that lead to obesity, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and Alzheimer's disease! No good genes were turned on. In the rye group, 71 genes were turned on that prevent diabetes, lower cholesterol, reduce inflammation, and improve blood sugar control. In both cases, the genes that were turned on and off were 100% effective."

Insulin doesn't harden arteries, the ADA says... Not true...

Here is what Dr. Reaven, M.D., a medical expert on Metabolic Syndrome, says about what insulin does in the body...

"Years of high dietary carbohydrate intake, especially in genetically predisposed individuals, stresses insulin receptors which in turn malfunction. The normal amount of insulin then cannot maintain a normal blood sugar, and the body must then produce more and more insulin to keep blood sugar in the normal range. This higher level of insulin can often control blood sugar levels adequately, at least for a while, but the other lesser-known effects of insulin now come into play."

These effects include:

1.Encouraging storage rather than burning of fat, thus leading to obesity.
2. Enhancing the synthesis of cholesterol, especially LDL, increasing the risk of vascular disease.
3. Thickening arterial walls making blood vessels more stiff leading to increased blood pressure and increased risk of vascular disease.
4. Retention of sodium (salt) and fluid with subsequent rise in blood pressure.
5. Increased secretion of norepinephrine increasing blood pressure as well as pulse rate.

These effects explain all the abnormalities Dr. Reaven described in his article on Syndrome X years ago. Some individuals will eventually lose the ability to keep their blood sugar levels normal even in the presence of very high levels of insulin. This is the cause of adult onset, Type II or non-insulin dependent diabetes. This type of diabetes, when treated early, can be completely controlled with dietary intervention and need never lead to dependence on blood sugar lowering pills or insulin injections. Controlling Type II diabetes by diet can also prevent, to a large degree, many complications of the disease. These include heart disease, peripheral vascular disease (which can lead to amputation of extremities), peripheral neuropathy (burning and numbness in the hands and feet), retinopathy (which can lead to blindness), and kidney disease.

Hope this gives you some perspective on the truth and please be careful were you get your information on health. Some treat disease and write about it and some teach you how to get and stay well, and write about that...
It makes a difference.

Enjoy this week's studies and articles, and remember...

Bottled Water Found Contaminated with Medications, Fertilizer, Disinfection Chemicals ...
(NaturalNews) Bottled water across the country contains a wide variety of toxic substances, according to laboratory tests conducted by the Environmental Working Group (EWG). "Our tests strongly indicate that the purity of bottled water cannot be trusted," the study authors write. "Given the industry's refusal to make available data to support their claims of superiority, consumer confidence in the purity of bottled water is simply not justified."

Study Shows How Red Meat Increases Risk of Death ...
(NaturalNews) Red and processed meat in excess has long been suspected of being less than good for your health. A recent study confirms that higher consumption of red and processed meat increases the risk of cancer, heart disease and other related illnesses. The study was supported by the National Cancer Institute and was published in the Archives of Internal Medicine in late March 2009. It is among the largest studies to date linking cancer, heart disease and other illnesses to red meat and processed meat consumption.

Low vitamin D may boost metabolic syndrome risk...
Insufficient and deficient levels of vitamin D may increase the risk of metabolic syndrome by 52 per cent, according to a joint Anglo-Chinese study.
According to findings published in Diabetes Care, a study with 3,262 Chinese people aged between 50 and 70 showed that 94 per cent were vitamin D deficient or insufficient, and 42 per cent of these people also had metabolic syndrome.

Fish Oil and Fatty Fish Protect Men from Heart Failure ...
(NaturalNews) A new study just published in the European Heart Journal concludes that eating fatty fish and the marine omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil appears to protect men from heart failure. This is important news because heart failure (also known as congestive heart failure, or CHF) is an enormous health problem in the U.S. According to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, approximately five million Americans have the condition and about 300,000 die from heart failure each year.

Chewing almonds may boost satiety...
Thorough chewing of almonds may increase the absorption of unsaturated fat and suppress hunger for longer, according to findings from Purdue University.
Chewing almonds 25 or 40 times before swallowing led to significantly more unsaturated fat than those who chewed the almonds only 10 times before swallowing, according to findings presented last week at the 17th European Congress of Obesity in Amsterdam and published recently in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

MSG is the New Nicotine: What the Food Industry Does Not Want You to Know...
(NaturalNews) Monosodium glutamate, also known as MSG, is a common food additive. It`s toxic and physically addictive. Fast food companies and other food manufacturers use MSG as a "flavor enhancer," so consumers will become "hooked" on their products and keep dishing out money for more. When people consume unhealthy foods containing MSG, they often gain weight and feel sluggish, and some also experience "MSG symptom complex." The symptoms can include headaches, chest pain, heart palpitations, nausea, and other heath problems. Although MSG is normally associated with Chinese food, processed meats, and salty snacks, it`s also frequently found in bouillon cubes, canned soups and vegetables, barbecue sauce, salad dressing, and virtually every other processed food you eat. "Monosodium glutamate," or "MSG," won`t likely be listed in a products` ingredient list. It`s often disguised as calcium caseinate, gelatin, hydrolyzed vegetable proteins, autolyzed yeast, hydrolyzed yeast, yeast extract, soy extracts, "spices," or "natural flavorings."

These Top Seven Herbs Promote Healthy Blood Sugar and Support Diabetes ...
(NaturalNews) Finding ways to naturally manage blood sugar and diabetes has become increasingly important as we become more aware of the adverse effects of prescription medications. Lifestyle changes are a crucial step in managing blood sugar levels, but at the same time, it can be difficult to maintain lifestyle habits like eating right and exercising when the blood sugar roller coaster has you under its thumb. Natural herbs can offer a solution to fluctuating blood sugar levels that can help you regain the control you need to make permanent lifestyle changes and enjoy a better quality of living. Here are seven of the top herbs recommended for blood sugar management:

Antioxidant vitamins may protect against female cancer...
Increased intakes of vitamins C and E and beta-carotene may reduce the risk of cancer of the uterus, according to a new review and meta-analysis of the science to date.
Writing in Cancer Causes and Control, US scientists report that for every 1,000 microgram increase per 1,000 kcal of diet of beta-carotene was associated with a 12 per cent reduction in the risk of endometrial cancer.
Similarly, for every 50 milligram increase per 1,000 kcal of vitamin C the risk of endometrial cancer was reduced by 15 per cent, and for every 5 milligram increase per 1,000 kcal of vitamin E the risk of endometrial cancer was reduced by 9 per cent.
Endometrial cancer is the fifth most common cancer among women worldwide - around 7,000 American women die from the disease annually - but incidence of the cancer varies more than 10-fold worldwide.

FDA Admits Drug in Tylenol and Excedrin is Main Cause of Liver Failure in U.S. ...
(NaturalNews) The drug in question is acetaminophen. It`s in prescription and all too popular over-the-counter drugs including Tylenol and Excedrin. According to the FDA, taking too much will kill you and the government agency also admits this chemical is the leading cause of liver failure in the U.S. Acetaminophen is responsible for 56,000 emergency room visits and 456 deaths annually, according to studies done between 1990 and 1998. In spite of this, billions of doses are sold each year.

Do you have type 2 diabetes? - you are 30 days away from a cure...

1 in 5 Americans are either pre-diabetic or diabetic...
That's 62 million people.

According to the American Diabetes Association there is no cure and it has to be managed with diet and drugs forever.

The movie Super-Size Me showed how eating a McDonald's diet only, for 30 days, caused Morgan Spurlock, the actor and producer of the documentary, to become over weight and he developed signs that his heart and liver were being severly damged.

See the first 10 minutes of his movie... And the last 9 minutes and you will get the point.
Supersize Me 1

Supersize Me 10

NOW!!! The amazing thing...
According to a new documentary that just came out called 30 Days Raw, a raw food diet can reverse diabetes in the same 30 days. These were insulin dependent diabetics. It only took 4 days to not need insulin, and see what happened by the last day.

The first couple of articles or videos this week are devoted to this belief.

YOU MUST SEE THEM...

I have written before that Dr. Pottenger conclusively found that cats fed a totally cooked food diet, die out in 3 generations.

I will also highlight some foods and nutraceuticals that have been shown to be effective in treating type 2 diabetes.

Remember...

Curing Diabetes with (Raw Food For 30 Days)... VIDEO
The mission statement before the 30 day test... It's always been said that "You are what you Eat", and one of the greatest physicist Walter Russell points out that you must eat "Fresh and Alive Raw Fruits, Vegetables, Nuts" or Foods in general. Because in physics he understood energy, he understood not only the laws which newton understood (The apple falls off the Tree to the Ground), but he also understood the second half of the laws which newton did not (The apple decays back into the ether and is sent back UP). Therefor in a nutshell the great physicist will tell you, Fresh and Alive Foods are the Only foods we should be eating. Well I believe this is applicable for not only reversing Diabetes but All Diseases Including Cancer.
Six McDonalds-munching Americans eat 100% vegan live foods for a month. Medical results are fantastic. Doctors and experts are interviewed including Gabriel Cousens, MD and David Wolfe. Raw for 30-Days Raw for 30-Days will document the journey of five Americans suffering from Adult Onset Type II Diabetes, who undergo a radical 30-day diet and lifestyle change in the hope of reversing or reducing their insulin dependence. The film will show the eating habits that led to the development of this disease and will suggest an alternative approach to living and eating, one in which foods can heal and hold the potential to reverse Diabetes. We will recruit subjects who have been subsisting on a standard American junk food diet and who are now insulin dependent and Diabetic. Those selected will journey to the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center in Arizona to undergo a 30-day health regimen consisting of 100% raw organic living foods that are purported to heal Diabetes. We will select a diverse group of subjects, representative of the different segments of the population most affected by this epidemic. Examples include a Native American from a Reservation, an African American from an urban Northeast city, a Mexican American living in the western US and a Caucasian person from the mid-west or a Southern city such as Chattanooga, TN.

Red Wine Aging Drug - Diabetes control... - Video
Could a pill that's designed to treat type 2 diabetes also be the first anti-aging drug? The pills are based on a substance in, of all things, red wine. Resveratrol.

High Glycemic Foods Damage Arteries ...
(NaturalNews) Anyone interested in healthy and nutritious foods has probably heard that whole grains are far better for you than the processed variety like white bread and sugar-laden cereals. There are several reasons for this, including the fact whole foods tend to be richer in fiber and they also have low glycemic indexes. That means they keep blood sugar and insulin levels steady without wide fluctuations. But a new study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology concludes there's another important reason to avoid high glycemic foods like white bread and corn flakes. For the first time, scientists have documented how eating these foods can directly damage artery walls and cause cardiac problems. "It's very hard to predict heart disease," Dr. Michael Shechter of Tel Aviv University's Sackler School of Medicine and the Heart Institute of Sheba Medical Center, said in a statement to the media. "But doctors know that high glycemic foods rapidly increase . Those who binge on these foods have a greater chance of sudden death from heart attack. Our research connects the dots, showing the link between diet and what's happening in real time in the arteries."

Chemicals Found In Fruit And Vegetables Offer Dementia Hope...
A group of chemicals found in many fruits and vegetables, as well as tea, cocoa and red wine, could protect the brain from Alzheimer’s disease, a dementia expert will tell scientists at a conference July 11.

Half A Glass Of Wine A Day May Boost Life Expectancy By Five Years...
Drinking up to half a glass of wine a day may boost life expectancy by five years—at least in men, suggests research published ahead of print in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health.

Common Table Grapes Reduce Blood Pressure, Repair Heart Damage ...
(NaturalNews) The consumption of regular table grapes may lower blood pressure and improve heart health better than drugs, according to a study conducted by researchers from the University of Michigan Cardiovascular Center in Ann Arbor, and published in the Journal of Gerontology: Biological Sciences.Researchers fed a powdered combination of green, red and black table grapes to lab rats there were consuming either a high- or low-salt diet. After 18 weeks, the cardiovascular health of these rats was compared to rats that had eaten either an equivalent diet supplemented with the blood pressure medication hydrazine rather than powdered grapes, or rats that had eaten the diet without any additions. All rats in the study were genetically predisposed to develop high blood pressure when fed a high-salt diet.

Excessive Cola Consumption Can Lead To Super-sized Muscle Problems, Warn Doctors...
Doctors have issued a warning about excessive cola consumption after noticing an increase in the number of patients suffering from muscle problems, according to the June issue of IJCP, the International Journal of Clinical Practice.

Vitamin C: There May Be a Modern Chronic Deficiency...
(NaturalNews) Vitamin C. Mmmm . . . maybe you think of a tall glass of Florida orange juice. Or maybe you grab it at the beginning of the cold season. But would you associate it with cardiovascular disease (CVD) or cancer? Maybe you should. According to an article published in October 2007, in the Journal of Nutrition, there is accumulating scientific evidence that very large (therapeutic) doses of vitamin C may be effective in treating both CVD and cancer.
