The best DIET study I have seen... And the results will surprise you.

The other day I reviewed an hour and 16 minute lecture of a 1 year study from Stanford University on which diets, published in book form, work the best. It's an excellent study and the diet recommending the lowest carbohydrate level ended up winning. The study compared the Atkins diet to the Ornish diet, the Zone diet, and the LEARN diet. If you are not familiar with the LEARN diet, it is what the food pyramid is based on and is considered the standard healthy diet with grains recommended as the most important.
It surprised the man who ran the study, a 25 year veteran of a vegetarian diet. Even more surprising to some perhaps, but not to me, was his conclusion at the end where he says that based on the studies results, a Paleolithic or Hunter Gatherer diet eliminating all grains and dairy, was perhaps even better than the Atkins, which ended up winning. The researcher also stated that if nuts and seeds, like I use in my program, were recommended more than heavy fats like cream and butter in Atkins, the results might have even been better.
Not only did the low carb Atkins diet win overall in the diet study, it had the best lab test results in lowering LDL cholesterol and raising HDL, the good kind. My program, Forever Changes Weight-Loss and Longevity Lifestyle Program, was not in the study but it would be closer to a modern day doable version of the Hunter Gatherer - Paleolithic program, with the option of getting into ketosis, like the induction portion of Atkins program.
Ketosis is the natural way the body burns fat instead of sugar for energy, like when a bear hibernates. It is safe and not the same as ketoacidosis, which is dangerous and happens sometimes in diabetics.
Dr. Dean Ornish, author of the very low fat, high carb diet, and Barry Sears, the author of the Zone Diet, were not happy with the results of the study and so the researcher of the study blocked the diet names during the presentation, if you watch and wonder why.
I know many of you watch movies that are longer than an hour and 16 minutes, so if you want to see independent results of a year long study, done in a very entertaining way, I have included it below.

Enjoy... And remember, you're never too old to become younger or thinner.

The case for low-carbohydrate diets is gaining weight. Christopher Gardner, PhD, assistant professor of medicine at the Stanford Prevention Research Center, has completed the largest and longest-ever comparison of four popular diets using real-world conditions, which he discusses - the lowest-carbohydrate Atkins diet came out on top.
