Sometimes a fad comes along and it makes sense to join in...

Everyday I talk with my sister-in-law Betty by phone. She lives 2 blocks away but we like to keep in touch. One day a few weeks ago she said tell me about Chia Seeds. I said what do you want to know, are you thinking of growing a Chia pet? No, she laughed, the kind you eat. They are suppose to be super food high in omega 3's or something. She proceeded to tell me how her friend who lives here, but came from Italy originally, had heard about them from a relative there. Apparently it's all the rage there. I said, oh it must be just one of those health food fads that come along, I don't pay much attention to them. A little pompous I was... She bought some and said she felt a lot of energy from them, so I tried them and found the same thing. An almost euphoric feeling, very vibratory in nature, comes over you about 15 minutes after you consume them.

I got to work and started to research all about them.
They are. in fact, a super food that has been used since the Aztec days.

I have highlighted 2 articles this week on them and what they do. I also found a great source for those that want to try them.

Chia Seeds - 16 oz - They sell here at the local health food store for $17.00 for 16 oz. You save $6.00, and the quality is great.

Enjoy this week's article, studies, and videos.

And remember, you are never too old to become younger.

Chia Seeds Benefit Health...
(NaturalNews) Chia seeds are one of these foods that, if you talk about them with other people, you'll inevitably get a blank stare back at you. That's fine because that gives you the chance to tell people about what is thought to be one of the healthiest foods you can eat. The name chia comes from the Aztec word for 'oily', which is 'chian', and this explains well what one of the main benefits of chia is; it is very high in omega-3 acids, which are a type of unsaturated fats.

Chia Seeds (Salvia Hispanica) for Radiant Health, Endurance, and Boundless Energy...
Chia seeds (Salvia hispanica L) was first used as food as early as 3500 B.C. The ancient Aztec civilization used Chia seed to provide them with radiant health, endurance, and boundless energy. The seeds have twice the protein of any other seed or grain, five times the calcium of milk, boron which is a trace mineral that helps transfer calcium into your bones, omega 3 and omega 6, which are essential oils for the body. They also have a very long list of other valuable nutrients. The Aztecs prized this grain more highly than gold and they even used it as medicine. The soluble fiber in the gel forms a wall between carbohydrates and the body, releasing them slowly into the body. This has been found to be very helpful for people who have trouble controlling their sugar levels like Diabetics.
